Tuition for the Fall or Spring Semester (the 5-month semester is based on 20 lessons ) may be paid in full or in 4 monthly installments (Payment Plan). The Academy has an open enrollment – you can start lessons at any time. If the lessons start after the beginning of the semester, the number of lessons and installments will be prorated accordingly. The tuition fees below are listed for the entire spring or fall semester.

Payment in Full

• Credit Card Payment - 4% of the payment amount

Installment Plan Fees

• Post-dated checks - no fees
• Installment payments by check, bank transfers (Zelle or Venmo) or Credit Card - $10 per installment (Note: Credit Card Payments incur an additional service fee of 4% of the payment amount).

Piano, Violin, Cello, Viola, Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, Music Theory, Audio Engineering

• 30 min lesson – $1200 ($300 per installment, $60 per extra lesson)
• 45 min lesson – $80 ($400 per installment, $80 per extra lesson)
• 60 min lesson – $2000 ($500 per installment, $100 per extra lesson)

Guitar

• 30 min lesson – $1080 ($270 per installment, $54 per extra lesson)
• 45 min lesson – $1400 ($350 per installment, $70 per extra lesson)
• 60 min lesson – $1840 (460 per installment, $92 per extra lesson)

Voice

• 45 min lesson – $1640 ($410 per installment, $82 per extra lesson)
• 60 min lesson – $2040 ($510 per installment, $102 per extra lesson)

Piano Performance and Competition Program

• 30 min lesson – $1300 ($325 per installment, $65 per extra lesson)
• 45 min lesson – $1740 ($435 per installment, $87 per extra lesson)
• 60 min lesson – $2300 ($575 per installment, $115 per extra lesson)

While a calendar semester may span up to 23 weeks, depending on the year and the day of the week, Sharon Music Academy bills for a fixed block of only 20 lessons per semester. This structure accounts for holidays and occasional cancellations to ensure a consistent learning experience and predictable billing.

In some instances, a student may complete their 20 prepaid lessons a week or two before the official end of the semester. If this occurs, we offer the following options to finish out the term:

• Take a brief hiatus: You may take a break for the remaining week(s) and resume lessons at the start of the new semester.
• Pay-as-you-go: You may continue lessons through the end of the current term by paying for the additional lessons individually.
• Early start on the next term: You may continue lessons now and have them deducted from your next 20-lesson block. Please note that choosing this option means you will likely complete your next set of prepaid lessons before the end of the following semester as well.

Unless noted, all group classes are 45 minutes long. Tuition for a group course or a program must be paid in full before the start of the course or the program.

Preschool Music Programs

• Jolly Strings 10 lessons session - $320
• Jolly Keys 10 lessons session - $320
• Jolly Notes 10 lessons session - $300

Suzuki Violin program requires a student to have a violin. Parents can rent a violin from many local rental shops. SMA has a limited number of violins to rent as well.

Group Classes and Programs

• Music Theory 10 lessons session - $310
• Ensembles and Chamber Groups 15 rehearsals/school year - $370

• Late Payment Fee – $25 per each late payment
• Sight Reading Accompaniment – $70 for 15 minutes of rehearsal time and performance
• Concerto Accompaniment – $110/hour for rehearsals and a $40 performance fee
• Online Group Supervised Practice – $35/hour (group is limited to 5 students)
