Sharon Music Academy is a premier music school in Massachusetts. The Academy is 12 12-minute walk from T, but having a car is a definite advantage. We require legal authorization to work in the USA.

Violin Instructor

Part-time violin instructor to work one or two days a week.
Requirements:
At least two years of teaching experience. Ability to work with students at all levels - from beginners to advanced. Familiarity with the popular violin methods and books. The ability to teach different styles ( classical, fiddle, etc. ) or viola is a big plus.

Assistant Music Director

We are looking for a Music School Assistant Director. In this customer-facing position, a Assistant Music Director will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation, coordinating the lessons and concert schedules, updating school social media accounts, and maintaining communication with the students, parents, and faculty.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least two years of experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Legal authorization to work in the USA. References required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic familiarity with MS Office suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, or similar Google suite.
  • Basic Audio recording and music production skills ( Audacity, ProTools, etc.)
  • Basic video editing skills – trimming, transitions, etc.
  • We are 15 minutes walk from a commuter rail stop, but having a car is a definite advantage.

Piano Instructor
