Education: Pin-Hsuan(Penny) earned a Master of Music from Mannes School of Music under the tutelage of Ronald Thomas. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral of Musical Arts degree at Boston University under the guidance of Professor Michael Reynolds.

Bio

Pin-Hsuan, affectionately known as Penny, boasts a remarkable journey in the realm of music, celebrated both as a solo performer and a collaborative artist. Her vibrant career has seen her grace stages with the Asian Youth Orchestra, sharing the spotlight with globally acclaimed artists like Steven Isserlis. Penny's artistic versatility shone brightly in her contribution to the film “In Search of Perfect Consonance,” a masterpiece by Oscar-winning director Ruby Yang.

Her skill as a cellist led her to prominent roles with the Regina Opera and Lanyang Symphony Orchestra, where her performances as principal cellist were highly acclaimed. Additionally, Penny enriched her experience through the prestigious fellowship program with the Montclair Orchestra.

Penny's musical footprint extends internationally, with recitals that have captivated audiences in Taiwan, New York, Boston, Shanghai, Tianjin, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Osaka, and beyond. Her talent resonates not just through her performances but also through her dedication to music education. With over eight years of teaching experience, Penny has nurtured students who have triumphed in prestigious competitions like The Medici International Music Competition, The Prokofiev International Music Competition, the Taiwan Music Competition, the London Young Musician Competition, and the Little Mozart International Competition.

Her journey is a testament to her passion and commitment to the world of music, inspiring future generations of musicians.
