Olivia earned her MM in Cello Performance under the tutelage of Michael Reynolds of the Muir Quartet. She is a Pittsburgh, PA native and attended Duquesne University on the Chancellor’s full-tuition scholarship for her BM in Cello Performance. There, she studied with acclaimed Pittsburgh Symphony cellist Adam Liu. She won the Duquesne University Women’s Advisory Board Scholarship Competition with a prize of $5,000 for her performance of movements from Bach Cello Suite II. She is an avid orchestral musician, performing with several professional orchestras including the Wheeling Symphony (WV) and Johnstown Symphony (PA). She has also performed with The Eagles on their Hotel California Tour, where she was part of the orchestra for their Pittsburgh concert.
Olivia is passionate about working with young musicians. She currently works as a Teaching Artist with Boston Music Project. She worked as Operations Assistant for her old youth orchestra, Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestra, based in Pittsburgh. She is a private lessons teacher and has experience with sectional and chamber music coaching as well. At Boston University, she held positions of TA for multiple courses. When she isn’t teaching or performing, she enjoys getting outdoors for a hike or reading a good book.
