Bio

Dr. Davis is an International award-winning conductor, composer, and scholar who has composed for, performed with, and conducted Grammy-winners and world-renowned artists in over 3,500 concerts around the world. In addition to conducting in Carnegie hall, where several of his ASCAP and Downbeat winning classical compositions were premiered, he was also featured in several concerts as the winner of International competitions for Best Jazz Soloist. Dr. Davis has been featured at International Conferences as a lecturer for his research in music theory, as a conductor for his innovative collaborative methods, and as a composer. Along with his recent gold medal wins for orchestral conducting, his awards in classical, jazz, and research number over 30. A two-time Valedictorian and All-American Scholar with degrees in Philosophy, Conducting, Classical Composition, and Jazz Composition, Dr. Davis is based in New York as the Principal Conductor of the Novus et Antiquus Orchestra; The Composers’ Orchestra; Faculty at the New School of Music; and was an Assistant Conductor of the Cecilia Chorus and Orchestra of New York. In Boston, Dr. Davis works as the Conducting Graduate Teaching Assistant at the New England Conservatory.
