Che Li

Education: Che graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Professor Yunlin Yang. In 2019, he was accepted to the New England Conservatory to study with Haesun Paik for Bachelor Degree. In 2025, Che graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music where he studied with professor Alexander Korsantia and obtained a Master of Music. He is now pursuing an Artist Diploma in Piano Performance with Pavel Nersessian at Boston University College of Fine Arts.

Bio

Che has been an active performer in both the United States and China. In 2016, he performed the Grieg Piano Concerto with the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra in Shanghai (China). In 2019, he performed Chopin’s
Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Santa Monica Symphony Orchestra at the Colburn Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles. In 2023, Che Li performed the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No.1 with the Mercury Orchestra at the New England Conservatory (Boston, Massachusetts). He has appeared as a solo recitalist at the Wenzhou(China) University School of Music, at the Cadillac Shanghai Concert Hall in Shanghai(China), and at the Hefei (China) Grand Theater—as part of the “Yangtze River Delta New Shining Stars” series.

In 2026, Che won the first prize of the Boston University Richmond Piano Competition. In 2024, Che won first prize at the IX Krystian Tkaczewski International Piano Competition in Poland. That same year, he won the second prize of the XV Chopin Piano Competition in Hartford and the Special Liszt Prize in the San Francisco International Piano Competition. In 2023, he won first place in the Fou Ts’ong International Concerto Competition. In 2017, he won first place in the National Youth Piano Open Competition at Shanghai Conservatory of Music and second place in the German Grotrian Competition in China.

Che has been teaching piano for 6 years, both in the USA and China, at the preparatory and college levels.
