Education: Yue graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, earning both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance.She is currently pursuing her Doctoral degree at Boston University on a full scholarship.

Bio

Yue Zhang is a pianist known for her artistry in solo and chamber music. Performing at prestigious venues worldwide, she has delivered hundreds of critically acclaimed recitals, chamber concerts, and concerto performances. Her appearances at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (Beijing), Vianden Castle (Luxembourg Music Festival), and Dom Pedro V Theatre (Macao SAR) showcase her technical mastery, emotional depth, and ability to connect with diverse audiences.

As a soloist, Yue has performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto with the National Concert Hall Orchestra and premiered a piano concerto by Tan Dun with the China NCPA Orchestra. Her solo recitals and chamber recitals at Beijing Zhongshan Concert Hall and Tours City Hall (France) have been praised for their profound musicality. She earned the Silver Medal in Solo Piano Performance at the Saint Petersburg International Music Competition.

In recognition of her contributions to the arts, she was honored as a Distinguished Artist by the NCPA. Beyond her solo career, Yue is a sought-after chamber musician, performing extensively across France, Macao SAR, the U.S, and China. Her 2020 recording of Brahms' Piano Chamber Music, released by Beijing Universal Music, was acclaimed for its exquisite interpretation. With a deep respect for tradition and a passion for innovation, she continuously explores new musical forms while preserving classical artistry.  She believes music transcends life, expressing the soul’s deepest emotions.

Yue has extensive experience in piano teaching and arts education. She previously served as a piano instructor at the Central Conservatory of Music’s School of Continuing Education, guiding numerous students in their preparations for music entrance exams. Her students have been admitted to prestigious institutions such as Berklee College of Music, the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Boston University, and the Central Conservatory of Music. Many of her students have won top prizes in renowned competitions, including the Singapore International Piano Competition, the Vienna International Piano Competition, and the Kawai Piano Competition. Her teaching style is meticulous yet clear and easy to understand, allowing her to tailor instruction to each student’s needs.
