Do you have a young child who is interested in music? Or you have a young musician in your family who wants to have a rewarding music experience and have fun in the summer? You can find all of this and more at the Sharon Music Academy summer program “Music By The Lake”. We offer two special programs — for children ages 5-7 and for children ages 8-12.

"Jolly Notes" summer program for children ages 5-7 introduces young minds to music. Through musical games and active interaction with a teacher and each other, kids learn basic musical concepts such as: rhythm, melody, percussion instruments, and singing. “Jolly Notes” helps children develop general learning skills that they can use beyond musical studies: focus and concentration, cognitive abilities, motor skills, social skills and hand-eye coordination.  Drawing lessons will help children to connect different art forms. Group lessons by Suzuki method will give students an opportunity to become familiar with musical instruments. This program requires parent participation in all program activities.

"Music By The Lake" program for children ages 8-12 offers private music lessons twice a week, semi-private musical theory, solfeggio and music history lessons, watch movies about musicians, listen to concerts by famous performers and have drawing and crafts lessons. They will also visit a violin craft shop and learn how pianos are made. All these cultural activities will be combined with musical games  and weekly excursions to various cultural and historic places of New England. The students will also have an opportunity to take trial lessons in different musical instruments. The program is opened to beginners and advanced students.

Group size in each program is limited to 8 students to guarantee maximum attention to each student. The space is limited - please contact us today to request your application.
